For me as a PR specialist and a supporter of corporate social responsibility, the Mtatsminda plateau reforestation project, as devised by m², represents a classic example of modern and effective CSR. The project is oriented towards achieving long-term and sustainable results, engaging all stakeholders and conducting a transparent process.

Executive Director
An initiative by m² will see wildfire prevention programmes being implemented in 50 schools across Tbilisi. Approximately 80% of wildfires are caused by human factor. The project will see wildfire prevention manuals and syllabuses being issued for the schools’ environmental clubs. Teachers in these 50 schools will receive relevant training.
Nino Sulkhanishvili
Head of the Environment and Natural Resources Department
The concept behind m²’s Mtsatsminda plateau reforestation project was developed in accordance with sustainable landscaping principles. Specialists selected the species that are suitable for the Tbilisi climate. The landscape planning process took into account the environmental and visual effects, the copse’s resistance to diseases and fires, as well as the efforts to retain biodiversity and stabilise the plateaus.
Irakli Burdiladze
Director General
Caring for the environment is the main area of m²’s corporate social responsibility. To this end, we are carrying out numerous important projects. The Mtatsminda plateau reforestation project is exemplary, because it aims to create a biodiverse and self-renewable environment in Tbilisi. It is important that numerous specialists are involved in this project, guaranteeing its success.
